Miniature: Watercolor and gouache portrait of a young gentleman, in black painted oval wood frame, measures 87mm x 98mm including painted black frame, then mounted in a rectangular gilt wood frame that measures 153mm x 166mm, signed (see photo). From the collection of former US ambassadors to France and Belgium.
CONDITION:
Portrait condition is excellent; few spots of discoloration around outer edge; frame shows some gilt wear and one chip, paper backing is very brittle and has scattered tears; good glass.
